Should i ask him out or not?

okay i have been like best friends with this one guy since 3rd grade and we are 13 now and he means so much to me. and i like him and he said that he likes me a little bit but he likes another girl more than me and i wanna ask him out but i think he will say no because he likes that other girl and i don't wanna wreck our friendship. what should i do?
