I have a hard time making and keeping female friends.How can I make friends without putting myself out there?

I consider myself a very good friend if u will.I'm an Aries,in my twenties.I'm the kind of person who will give u the shirt off my back to make u happy.But my friendships(especially with females) always end up self-destructing.Now I'm all alone and no one to even call on as a confidant.Sad if u think about it, so now i want it to end.But whenever I do right by people and be kind it's like they take my kindness for weakness.And like i said I'm an Aries and when u cross me them horns really do come out, and then just like that the friendship ended.I have a hard time forgiving also.Any help??
